Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy

The Physiotherapy service at the Hospice is provided for the patients on the In-Patient Unit, patients in the community and those who are attending Day Hospice and the Dove Centre as Out-Patients.  The Physiotherapist makes a careful assessment of patients current and future needs and will develop an individual programme with them to enable patients to continue as full and active a life as possible.

The Hospice Physiotherapists also work closely with the community Physiotherapists and the District Nurses when appropriate to ensure as smooth a transition as possible from Hospice to the home and home to Hospice.

We produce information leaflets on a range of topics to inform and support. This is our Physiotherapy leaflet, which you may like to print out. Our full range of leaflets can be found on the information leaflets page.
